  My favorite Thai place around Stanford. The panang curry is addictive. Food comes out fast, it's reasonably priced, and they can accommodate large groups. If you're just a couple, prepare to be seated pretty close to another couple.

  Thaiphoon is conveniently located in Downtown Palo Alto for my wife and I. In my opinion, the prices are reasonable for the area and the quality of the food is great and authentic. I like that the staff are all from Thailand too. You can't go wrong with the Pad Thai, however, I highly recommend the kway teow (beef soup).
  
  Smaller Thai places in the area have good Thai food too for a bit cheaper price, but if you're in the mood for a date-night-mood I highly recommend Thaiphoon.
